Aviv Sher, CEO of Codere Online, talks through the operator’s LatAm goals amid a wider push for 2024 profitability.

INTERGAMINGi: How do you reflect on the current contribution of Codere Online’s LatAm operations in 2024, as overall net gaming revenue hit a record €53m in Q1?
AS: Latin America is a significant region for Codere Online. We’ve seen real growth in Mexico, which made up around half of our net gaming revenue alone in Q4 2023, and are reaping the rewards of significant marketing efforts in the last few years, particularly with our sponsorship of prominent football team Rayados de Monterrey.
We’re also seeing positive trends in Colombia, Panama and Argentina, although at a much lower scale given our strategic focus and larger presence in Mexico and Spain.
