NMi has been approved as an accredited testing facility for Loto-Québec in Canada, which counts as another first for NMi and its clients.
The company offers compliance testing and auditing services to the gambling industry and has a 30-year reputation in the EU with facilities in the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium and the UK.
"NMi is now in a position to offer certification against the stringent standards and best practice that Loto-Québec has adopted," said Dr Rich Edwards from NMi. "We have extensive experience of the certification processes in the leading regulated jurisdictions and have developed our processes to provide a clear route of approval for our clients."
In January 2010, Loto-Québec submitted a request for a regulatory amendment to allow it to develop an online offering of games of chance. It proposed to enter the online gaming market in order to set guidelines for the industry, channel gaming offerings and oversee consumption so as to keep social costs to a minimum.
