The iGaming Super Show opened its doors at the RDS conference centre in Dublin, Ireland to positive feedback for its change of location and a new layout for the exhibitors.
Last year's show was held in Prague and saw the affiliate and B2B companies split into two separate halls. Responding to feedback, the organiser moved the event to Dublin, making it easier for delegates to travel to, and placed the affiliate zone and B2B zone in the same exhibition hall. The first day of the show this year saw a reported 2,000 delegates attend.
Having recently announced its deal to acquire smartFOCUS Group, email marketing company Emailvision's decision to exhibit at the iGaming Super Show was last minute. "It's a good show," sales manager Richard Lewis told iNTERGAMINGi. "We've had plenty of leads and next year we will exhibit again but with a more developed stand." Lewis praised the collaborative nature of the affiliates and said that the event was truly global. "Affiliates are all about building relationships and networking, it's a nice and different way to do business."
Wednesday night saw many delegates attend Calvin Ayre's party. The night promised to be more outrageous than any of his previous parties and didn't fail to deliver with its seven deadly sins theme. From pole dancing to pythons to knife throwing, the event was not for the faint-hearted and was the subject of many conversations on the final day of the show.
It's good to mix affiliates with B2B. It mixes business up a bit and adds competition. Affiliates are more in touch with consumers so it is interesting to talk to them and learn a lot from them.—Wouter Sleijffers, gaming marketing manager, Skrill
There are exciting things to come almost certainly by the end of this year for Emailvision in terms of acquisitions.—Richard Lewis, sales manager, EmailVision
