Adventure centre Zipit Forest Adventures, located in the Dublin mountains, opened a new zipline trail this week.

Catherine Martin, Ireland's tourism minister, opened the new zip trail for the adventure centre in Tibradden Wood.
“It’s an amazing amenity that we have here on the mountains – sometimes I think we take the Dublin Mountains for granted,” said Martin, who is also deputy leader of the Green Party.
Martin expressed the view that the Covid-19 pandemic had ignited a renewed public interest in outdoor activities, saying: "This is a beautiful way of immersing yourself in the great outdoors, which more and more people are turning to since Covid-19.”
According to The Irish Times, the new course at Zipit Forest Adventures comprises of 12 zip-lines totalling 500m in length, and cost €200,000 as part of a government investment.
