Vinyl records, film photography, fashion trends; popularity is often cyclical and nowhere is that better illustrated in the coin-op world than with pinball.
From the heights of the 70s and 80s, to the comparatively fallow years of the 90s and early 2000s, pinball has undergone somewhat of a resurgence over the past decade or so, and this time appears to be here to stay.
