IN 2025, Wahlap celebrates a milestone, its 35th anniversary. As one of the leading companies in the arcade game industry in China, the development journey of Wahlap is not only a story of business but also innovation and breakthroughs.

The world’s first electronic arcade game, Computer Space, made its debut in 1971, with its appearance opening the floodgates into an era of electronic arcade games. In Computer Space, two players each controlled a spaceship, attacking each other with missiles and avoiding the gravitational pull of planets. All of the action was displayed on a black and white television, which quickly became the standard configuration for arcade games going forward. While it may not have seen success initially, its release laid the foundation for the development of arcade games moving forward.
