The Greek lottery monopoly OPAP is to install 35,000 video lottery terminals beginning in early 2017.

The news came this week from the Fantini Gaming Report, quoting as its source Todd Eilers of Eilers and Krejcik Gaming.
The installation of the VLTs has been long-delayed in Greece by a combination of circumstances, but Eilers was confident that installations will begin early in the new year with a first phase of 5,500 machines from IGT.
There will also be a similar number from SGMS and 4,000 Inspired terminals.
The lottery company will run 16,500 of the machines itself with the remainder licensed to several other operators.
