There has been a clampdown on crane machines in Turkey.

The success of this type of game in Turkish FECs led to an expansion into street locations.

They are now found outside such premises as toy stores and newspaper kiosks. As long as the prizes inside them were of low quality, the police did not interfere with this trade.

However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has now ruled that cranes should be considered gambling machines. Confiscation of such machines from street locations started last month.
