Jukebox and entertainment platform TouchTunes has released its new mobile app, which features a range of upgraded features including Social Reactions.

Available now, the completely revamped app is designed to elevate the bar and venue experience, making it more fun and social. When someone selects a song on the jukebox, the app now allows other patrons in the venue to share reaction emojis, giving everyone real-time feedback on their DJ skills.

Robert Tomkinson, chief marketing officer, said: “It’s always a great feeling when you choose a song that really resonates with another person, or when someone else plays your jam. Now, any user can give or receive that dopamine rush, even strangers in a crowded bar, via Social Reactions in the TouchTunes app. With our in-app loyalty program, the more you play, the more free credits you can earn to play more songs. Looking forward, this new app is a platform for even more fun, social, rewarding features that make TouchTunes a must-have app for any night out.”

The new mobile app also has improved search functions to help users find their favourite artists or songs, as well as new curated playlists. Users will be able to create their own playlists, allowing them to easily queue songs.

The company also teased that future updates to the app will include a new mobile payment system called TouchTunes Pay, which will allow users to pay for in-venue entertainment, starting with BullShooter electronic darts, directly via the app.

The app is available to download now for all iPhone users and is currently rolling out to Android users.
