Thorpe Park, the major UK amusement venue, has confirmed that it has permanently closed two of its attractions.

The three-year-old Black Mirror walk-through labyrinth attraction has now closed, together with its Slammer ride that is considerably older, having opened in 2005.
Slammer took riders at speeds of up to 75 mph around a giant "fly-swatter" shaped track with an inverted section. That closed in 2017 and will now not reopen.
The Black Mirror is based on the TV show of the same name and was a challenge for guests to negotiate its twists and turns to escape. This year, however, the park will launch Hyperia, the tallest and fastest coaster ride in the UK, probably in mid-October.
