Suzo-Happ Group has announced the acquisition of Starpoint Development, a UK-based supplier of electro-mechanical devices used in the gaming and amusement markets.
The acquisition is the company\‘s fifth since October 2005, strengthening Suzo-Happ\‘s position as one of the leading global suppliers of amusement and gaming parts and accessories, with over 30,000 assorted products, customers in 80 countries and more than 450 employees in 18 locations.
\“This transaction reinforces our position as a global one-stop shop for amusement and gaming-related parts and accessories sold both to OEMs and through distribution to a broad array of gaming operators,\” said Suzo-Happ president and CEO Chuck Turnbull.
He continued: \“Starpoint\‘s products, engineering capabilities, and manufacturing operations all complement our portfolio and give customers one more reason to source components from our company.
\“The combined Suzo-Happ organisations of Happ, Suzo and AESI are household names in our industry and becoming part of the group has clear benefits for all parties involved,\” added Colin Crossman, managing director of Starpoint.

Starpoint was founded in 1968 and currently has 60 employees and customers in over 30 countries. The company manufactures reel mechanisms and flexistrips for slot machines, illuminated push buttons for gaming and vending machines, as well as assorted game devices and accessories.
Suzo-Happ will continue operating Starpoint as a separate entity and will integrate the company\‘s line into its catalogue for easy sourcing. The firm also plans to extend Starpoint\‘s current global sourcing capabilities through Pfingsten Partners Hong Kong, the private equity firm\‘s dedicated sourcing office in China.
Starpoint’s factory near London will remain in operation under Suzo-Happ\‘s ownership.
