Sega Amusements showcased its new arcade hardware boards at the AOU show in Japan this month - the Ringedge and Ringwide.

 

The first game to use the hardware will be Border Break and according to the manufacturer it will reduce costs by more than 30 per cent.

Ringedge is manufactured by Intel with a dual-core CPU and Nvidia GPU. The Ringwide is a versatile board providing a selection of price points and has an Intel CPU and an AMD GPU. Both boards will also support Sega’s All.Net service.

A number of other titles are lined up for the new hardware and have entered the production stage.
