SeaWorld San Diego, in California, US, has announced that it will overhaul one of its most famous roller coasters next year.
Journey to Atlantis, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, will be reinvented, adding new elements to create more immersive ride experience. It will receive a refreshed storyline, as well as new water elements, special visual effects and new show elements that pay tribute to the original ride.
The current version of the ride reaches a height of 95ft before sending riders down a 60ft drop with a splash down finish.
SeaWorld San Diego will also open a new jellyfish experience next year, featuring an immersive and education look at the creatures.
