An amusement arcade at the Burnham-On-Sea seafront is set to get a major refurbishment after being taken over by its former owner.
The Fabulous Showboat Arcade has acquired by Case Concepts, which has announced that it will update the interior, add new signage and introduce new gaming machines to the venue. It will also rebrand it, changing its name back to Sunspot Amusements.
Managing director Richard Case told burnham-on-sea.com that the company is spending six figures on returning the arcade to family ownership.
The arcade was previously brought by Praesepe, which later became Merkur Casino UK, in a deal in 2009.
