Sandbox VR, the operator of location-based VR experiences, has announced that it is opening a second location in Montreal, Canada.

Set to open on March 22, Sandbox VR Downtown will be the company’s 57th new venue since it launched in 2016. The company now has more than 100,000 players each month.
Sandbox VR venues are socially immersive gaming experiences that combine full-body motion capture with haptics to immerse players in the game.
The new Montreal venue will feature four private VR rooms, as well as a party room. Each VR room allows up to six players to play together, utilising VIVE Focus 3 headsets. Sandbox VR offers a number of different games including Squid Game Virtuals and Rebel Moon: The Descent, which license two of Netflix’s most popular IPs.
Steve Zhao, CEO and founder of Sandbox VR, said: “We are thrilled to build upon the success of the first Montreal Sandbox VR location with a second location on the famous Sainte-Catherine Street in downtown Montreal.”
Rodolph Dandan, president of Sandbox VR Quebec, added: “Montreal's vibrant tech-savvy community, combined with its unique bilingual culture and downtown energy, creates an ideal environment for next-generation entertainment. We're not just opening a Sandbox VR venue – we're creating a new social destination where Montreal's dynamic spirit meets cutting-edge technology.”
