Merlin Entertainments has opened its first Peppa Pig-themed amusement park in Europe.

It held an opening ceremony for the new park in Günzberg, Germany, last week and it is the second Peppa Pig-themed park from Merlin after the opening of a park in Florida, US, in 2022. A third location is set to open in Texas, US, later this year.
Located next to Legoland Deutschland and launching on the 20th anniversary of the popular show, the park features scenes and characters from the series recreated in Lego Duplo. Around €30m has been invested by the company in creating the location.
Attractions include a roller coaster themed to Daddy Pig’s red car, Peppa’s Balloon Ride and the Peppa Pig Play Zone.
Manuela Stone, divisional director of Legoland Deustchland and managing director of Peppa Pig Park Günzberg, said: “The Peppa Pig Park is a wonderful new attraction for our guests and the Günzburg region.
"Just a few weeks ago, I stood right here amid a construction site wearing a pink construction helmet. The teams involved in the construction, whether external or internal, have worked hard so that we can open this wonderful attraction for preschool children and their families in time for the start of the Pentecost holidays.
“Thank you all for your effort. A unique, wonderful world has been created here, looking as if you’ve jumped right into the popular series.”
