In-venue interactive music and entertainment platform, TouchTunes, is to unveil a new mobile app at Amusement Expo.

TouchTunes App

The app will allow users to locate venues with a TouchTunes jukebox on an interactive map, save their favourite places and filter by recent check-ins. They can also prepare a playlist before the night out, without needing to check into a venue first.

App users who have selected a song will now be clear on when it will be played due to the Full Queue Visibility feature, with the ability to spend extra credits to hear it sooner.

Ross Honey, CEO of TouchTunes, said: “People are craving human connection in the real world now more than ever, and nothing brings people together like music.

“We’ve created a world-class social music app that lets you take off your headphones and connect in person through your favourite songs, for those memorable moments we all treasure.”

TouchTunes also teased further updates, that will allow users to react to song choices with emojis and the Song Battle feature, which will see users pitting two songs against each other, with everyone in the venue voting on which they want to hear next.

The app is currently in closed beta testing and will be available for download in the summer.
