As the Bank of England announced the release of a new £20 note, Money Controls was ahead of the game with products already geared up to deal with it.

Money Controls worked closely with the appropriate authorities to obtain up-to-date, accurate information regarding the design of the note, which will feature economist Adam Smith and incorporate enhanced security features. It will be the same size and predominantly the same colour as the current £20 note.

While the note will not be in circulation until spring 2007, Money Controls has already completed the software for its comprehensive portfolio of products so that OEMs and operators can prepare themselves for its release.

Commercial manager Craig Howell said: “Software is available for all new products and meanwhile existing products can be upgraded. The contacts we have built up over the years with banks [are] invaluable when it comes to the introduction of new notes.”
