The UK Gambling Minister, Baroness Twycross, is to be invited to visit an adult gaming centre to “cut through the noise of the anti-gambling lobby and to demonstrate that AGCs are some of the safest places to gamble.”

The invitation will come from trade association Bacta in response to the minister’s recent letter covering a number of issues, one of which was the persistent campaign by the opponents of gambling.

President John Bollom said that he has responded in these terms to the minister’s letter, at the same time expressing concern that the 80/20 rule will not be amended this year.

At the same time, he expressed disappointment that the proposal for a review of stakes and prizes only applied to Category D machines and did not cover Category C.
