Spanish distributor MGA has told InterGame that just four years after receiving homologation for Interblock's product Megastar, as well as the exclusive distribution rights for Spain, it has sold 700 machines into the country.
The company also told InterGame that it has recently also signed a number of different distribution deals, which will see it represent Lucky Line’s Texas Hold ‘Em poker game and G Planet’s slot machines, which feature a progressive jackpot, alongside existing products from Astra Games, Sega, LAI Games and ICE.
Commenting on the Spanish market at the recent FER exhibition held in Madrid, vice president Joan Sanahuja Amat told InterGame: “Five years ago the market was mainly amusement but we are seeing a shift more and more towards gaming products, with the split roughly 50/50 between the street and casino markets.”
