An agreement has been signed between M&G Construction and Vitala Group for the construction of the $250m Shonkhor Tower Waterpark Sports Complex in the Mongolian capital Ulan Bator.
The project will include a waterpark and family accommodation alongside a range of sports, entertainment, health and wellness offerings.
M&G Construction is currently evaluating a number of sites in Ulan Bator for the 100 per cent Mongolian owned and managed development. The all-season all-weather park will cover an area of 120,000 to 150,000sq.m and is predicted to provide employment for as many as 1,200 Ulan Bator residents.
The Vitala team visited the city in September 2012 and will undertake all marketing, feasiblity work and architectural design, providing full project financing. Construction is likely to begin late next year following a number of feasibility studies and the complex is scheduled to open in the summer of 2016.
