A North Carolina Superior Court judge has granted a preliminary injunction against the state of North Carolina and in favour of North Carolina operators of Merit countertop games.
In a lawsuit challenging the state of North Carolina’s claims that certain video games violate North Carolina laws which prohibit the use of some gaming machines, the court made a finding that Merit’s Megatouch games are “lawful in all respects” and that the operators’ businesses will “suffer irreparable harm if a preliminary injunction is not entered.”
