A new zipline, claimed to be the largest in the US, has opened at WildeSide in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Set against the beautiful Smoky Mountains, MegaZip launches from a scenic mountain ridge overlooking the town and offers a continuous journey of 5,771ft.
Riders experience a drop of more than 1,000ft on the ride, coming down from 2,472ft to 1,337ft and reaching 55mph.
The attraction includes four ziplines in total, allowing groups to ride together. It also has a self-braking system, giving riders full control over the experience.
Guests who take on MegaZip will first be given a short zipline warm up, before being driven 20 minutes up the mountain to reach the main attraction. Once in mid-air, there are a number of photo opportunities throughout the ride.
Riders must be at least 10 years old to participate and those under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
Bryce Bentz, founding partner at WildSide, said: “MegaZip is more than just a ride – it’s an unforgettable flight through some of the most beautiful terrain in the country.
“We’re beyond excited to welcome guests to experience the longest zipline in America, right here in the Smokies.”
