The long-empty former Marks and Spencers store in Llandudno’s (UK) main street, will become a leisure hub - a three-storey venue of food, retail and family entertainment.

The store is owned by Mostyn Estates who are working with Conwy County Borough Council with an application for funding from the Welsh government’s Transforming Towns programme.

The regeneration of the building - empty since 2022 when M&S moved to a new location on the outskirts of the town - would benefit from the £700,000 already awarded to the scheme by the Welsh government. Yet the final bill is likely to reach over £5m.

The Mostyn Street location is prime one in the main street and the owners of the building plan to partner with an experienced leisure operator who would manage the building.

It would contain a café bar, six lanes of bowling, intelligent darts, shuffleboard, pool, crazy golf and a family entertainment area.
