The oldest go-karting track in the US has been acquired by karting company K1 Speed.

Situated 19 miles from downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, and located just 25 miles from the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Whiteland Raceway Park has a long legacy, which K1 Speed says it will maintain and build on.
Now renamed K1 Circuit Whiteland, it will offer four types of karting experiences, including Arrive and Drive, which will let guests race around the iconic circuit in high-powered performance go-karts.
As part of the acquisition, K1 Speed says it will open a new Paddock Lounge, which will serve F&B to visitors.
David Danglard, CEO and founder of K1 Speed, said: “It's an honour to take over the reins of Whiteland Raceway Park. This venue is special, having been established in 1958, only two years after the invention of the go-kart.
“Our investment and expertise will help this historic track thrive, and we're excited to build on its legacy while supporting the growth of the karting community in the Midwest.”
