A new adventure park has opened at a famous location in Ireland.

Westport

Westport Adventure Park has opened close to Westport House, a much-loved tourist attraction in County Mayo.

Activities include a twin zipline, which measures 100m and allows guests to ride side by side by each other, racing towards the finish line. It gives guests panoramic views of the park three stories above the ground.

A new net park, described as the largest in the country, has also opened spanning the treetops and cliff edges of the park’s 300-year-old quarry. Guests traverse a network of tunnels, aerial bridges, tree houses and bounce zones as they make their way through the structure.

Elsewhere, the Quarry’s Edge Leap dares thrill seekers to throw themselves off a three-storey platform, before landing safely.

Barry O’Connor, chief executive officer of Westport Estate, told the Irish Sun that they were adding extra value to the estate by adding a more diverse range of activities.
