The Ima show opened its doors in Düsseldorf on Tuesday to return to its traditional four-day span.

This year the show benefited from the presence of a second hall to accommodate its near-200 exhibitors.

Twin halls 8a and 8b at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre housed the event, which attracted a sharp increase in both exhibitors and visitors from outside of Germany.

They were reacting to Germany’s new status as one of the primary new markets for limited gambling machines in Europe, following the launch of the new German AWP regulations on January 1, 2006, which has led to the gradual replacement of over 200,000 limited payout gaming machines in the country.
