A decision on whether the big IAAPA trade show, set for November 17-20, will go ahead as planned will be revealed by the trade association “no later than Friday, September 4.”

The organisation said this week that it was conscious that exhibitors, operators and potential visitors needed time to plan their business. The show, scheduled for the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, is the biggest trade event in the international calendar for the theme parks, amusement and attractions industry.

The statement by the association, released yesterday, said: “While we are continuing to plan for IAAPA Expo, we also understand that information and circumstances change almost daily. We continue to monitor those complex and inter-related developments and gather input from our members to constantly re-evaluate and adjust our plans accordingly.”

It promised that the status of IAAPA Expo 2020 will be confirmed no later than September 4.

“We understand that you may not be able to wait until then to solidify the plans for your company. If that is the case, please accept our sincere apology for an inconvenience or frustration. If you need additional flexibility regarding IAAPA Expo payment or contract terms of if we can assist in any other way, please contact us.”
