UK exhibitors and visitors are among the Europeans now back at their desks following the IAAPA Asia trade show in Singapore last week.

Comments from them show an event not yet back to full strength - this is the first IAAPA Asia in four years - but still able to match exhibitor with visitor to mutual advantage.

Justin Burke of Sega Amusements said:  “It was a great opportunity to meet fellow and local suppliers, customers from that area and our domestic turf too.”

Alberto Borrero of Intercard commented: “I think the show was smaller this year than in the pre-pandemic days of 2019, maybe 30 per cent smaller.”

British exhibitor Dawn Foote of Katapult, who specialises in themed attraction design, said: “We caught up with many industry friends, visited some brilliant attractions, enjoyed the educational sessions and found some great opportunities on which we can follow up.”

Terry Monkton of Simworx, said: “Great meeting up with many of our clients in the Far East and having discussion with some potential clients for new projects.”

Mike Dawe of EP (UK) added: “It was a good opportunity to catch up with our Korean distributor, Daysik Woo of Climb Korea. IAAPA Asia turned out to be a great show.”

James Anderson of Bandai Namco Amusements Europe said: “The show is not really a coin-op event, but there were a few interesting products there.

"It was a great chance to get over and speak to key customers in the market (Singapore) and see their operations as well as having a chance to get to other countries in the region and see customers too.

"There were a number of international partners at the show so a good chance to catch up with those as well.”
