The photo booth is one of the longest standing entertainment providers in the amusement industry. Dan Snook examines how they continue to facilitate the feel-good factor.

THERE are few examples of amusement equipment that elicit as much fun, laughter or general positivity as photo booths. Ask the vast majority that have used them how they feel about the enduring machines and the smile that lights up their faces is essentially all you need to know. But that on its own wouldn’t make for an engrossing feature, so instead, we’ve asked some of the industry’s leading purveyors of the art to tell us where they see the sector at, at this time when a little positivity is in short supply.

Right now, most countries of the world aren’t allowing folk to congregate in any of the places that boast a photo booth. But once a modicum of normality resumes, and of course it will, people will be flocking to FECs, bars, amusement parks, zoos, retail stores et al and many will be coming home with a strip of memories from their first forays into the outside world post-Covid.
