As a centre for the distribution of second-hand amusement machines coming out of the Japanese market, Hong Kong has nothing like the volume of dealers it once had, but still has a vital role to play in the industry.
Hiroei Fujii, director at Hit-Style of Kowloon, Hong Kong, reports that the territory still functions as a focus for that sector.
"Certainly there are fewer distributors than there used to be," he said, "which reflects the contraction in the video games industry in particular. But there is still a demand for quality product."
