Greek manufacturer Vlassis was quoted at the Gamenet exhibition, held in Athens, Greece, as saying that the current state of the Greek market can only cause damage to the gaming and amusement industry as there is not enough buying interest from companies abroad and that a law similar to Spain would be desirable.
"We would like to see a new law created and see the situation change," said Ifigenia Vlassis of the company. "The law needs to distinguish between amusement and AWP games and we want fair regulations and constrictions for the operation of AWP games."
Commenting on the Gamenet exhibition itself, Vlassis went on to say: "Overall the show was a success and there were at least 30 per cent more visitors than last year.
"There were many new clients but new products on show were very few as there is the prohibition by the law, resulting in the non-development of games."
As Vlassis aims at the European market as a whole rather than just Greece it showcased two new products, which will be ready to launch over the next few months.
