William Bell discusses how sports that have been adapted into attractions have exploded in popularity over recent years.

Gathering for sports events has been a social staple as far back as the creation of the sports themselves and it continues to be a huge draw for modern venues and bars to attract customers and create a buzzing environment.
In a similar sense, social competition is popular, and sports are an easily agreeable social activity. Sports gamification is its own style of attraction, but it utilises and benefits from the current societal love for sports, as well as the trend of active attractions. Sport attractions can also make sports more accessible, or drop a guest straight into the action of the sport. For example, football penalty games can be more appealing to the casual player than the traditional sport – and its more accessible.
