The bingo industry in Spain has several hundred bingo clubs as a prime target, but the automated bingo machines which are available to those locations are now also being permitted in increasing numbers of bars and arcades in different Spanish jurisdictions.
One of the prime movers in this sector is the Murcia-based Global Zitro, a company with a strong domestic market and an increasing one in Latin America.
The company’s ability to take its inventive games into new territory and using new ideas was brilliantly illustrated at the recent Andalucian trade show in Malaga.
It showed its BET electronic bingo with its oversized monitor and sumptuous individual seating consoles with their built-in facilities and all-touchscreen operation. There was even the ability to watch regular television programmes in inset monitors on the screen.
In another display, the company illustrated how it can think ‘outside the box’ with a unit of upholstered seats and bingo playing monitors in a setting laid out for an up-market dinner.
"Why not make club rooms in bingo halls for private family dinner parties?" said Johnny Ortiz, the president of Global Zitro. "Bingo-goers have anniversaries and birthdays just the same as anyone else, so provide the opportunity for them to have family bingo sessions with a private celebration at the same time."
