The £21m development will include a themed restaurant and will comprise phase two of the rebuilding of the Houndshill Shopping Centre.

The IMAX screen will be 36ft high and 65ft wide and work on the project began in 2021. It is all part of the redevelopment of the Tower Street car park in the resort.

The multiplex will have nine screens altogether and will seat 850 partrons. The resort has not had a cinema since the Odeon on Rigby Road closed in the middle of last year.
