Germany’s Gauselmann Group is to expand its development and production location in Lübbecke with increased logistics space.

The new Hall 8 – as it is known internally – will cover 11,200sq.m.

“Our logistics capacity has been too tight for years so that we have had to manage with spreading it out over seven external rented warehouses with a total space of 26,000sq.m around the district of Lübbecke. That is both very cost and labour intensive,” said Armin Gauselmann.

Due to the potential threat of “high financial burdens” brought about by Germany’s current gaming legislation, the company is to carry out an in-depth review of all of its processes, Paul Gauselmann explained.

“Only if we further increase our efficiency and effectiveness will the continued existence of the group of companies as they are today then be secured on a long-term basis,” he continued. “That is why we have made the decision in these difficult times with much political headwind to invest a double-digit million sum in our Lübbecke location.”

The new construction will include logistics space dedicated to the company’s export business.

“We manufacture our products for the global market in Lübbecke,” said Paul Gauselmann. “I expect that the export business that currently lies at over 40 per cent of group turnover will further increase in the future. Thus, further certified logistics space is of absolute importance.”
