Pub retailers in the UK are being told they could boost their gaming revenues by following a few simple rules.
Operator Gamestec has released a guide to make sure pubs, clubs and other sites are making the most of their gaming estates. The 10 tips will help maximise takings on both fruit and quiz machines.
Adrian Ah-Chin-Kow, commercial director at Gamestec, believes gaming machines often underperform due to lack of education about what can be done to ensure optimum productivity:
"It’s not just a case of plugging in a gaming machine and waiting for it to generate revenue. There are a number of factors that can discourage gamers from using terminals, and these need to be addressed.
"We have devised the ‘top tips’ guide with the aim of ensuring all the basic needs of the machines are met in order to encourage increased play. It is in the interest of venues to take these tips on board and ensure games are always switched on, clean, free of obstructions and that any faults are reported immediately - after all, it is the pubs themselves which will benefit from the increased takings."
