Over the last two months, photo booths from Face Place have offered US customers in all 50 states the opportunity to have a picture “taken" with either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton - with Trump emerging as the preferred choice.

Face Place calls US election

With 10 per cent separating the two candidates, Republican nominee Trump garnered 55 per cent of the “votes” cast by photo booth patrons between September 1 and November 7. Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton won 45 per cent of campaign-themed photo sales during the same period.

“Our favourite result from Election Booth 2016 is that 100 per cent of our customers voted for Apple Industries,” said Apple CEO Allen Weisberg.

He said the company saw big earning spikes around key events such as the presidential debates, and “steady up-sells throughout the entire campaign season”.

“The same pattern held true for secretary Clinton,” Weisberg continued.

“When she rolled out specific programmes for better education and emphasised her lifelong work on behalf of children, her poll numbers rose according to Gallup, Rasmussen and others and so did her photo sales.

"When the FBI reopened its probe into her emails, her poll numbers dropped and her Apple photo sales reflected similar trend lines.”

Apple executives describe Face Place Election Booth 2016 as the industry’s first and only news-driven marketing and product sales opportunity.
