InterGaming looks at the latest in cashless gaming practices.
“WHEN it comes to cashless gaming, I think we’re just getting started,” said Victor Newsome, SVP product management and payment solutions at Everi.
“No single supplier in the gaming industry processes more financial access transactions than Everi - over $37bn from more than 125 million transactions in 2021 alone. Roughly 70 per cent is ATM cash dispenses, which has to come out as cash, and then the remainder is split between tickets and cash and chips at the table. The dominant portion of financial transactions is still cash because the reality is ‘cash is still king.’ Cashless is truly just getting started.”
