It showcased updates to its Toolkit’s POS component, Sales, which is now able to be used on Surface Pro tablets, allowing retail salespeople to be mobile and serve customers directly on the arcade floor.

Its Bookings online reservation platform has also been upgraded with in-venue booking capability. It will allow operators to accept in-venue reservations for experiences and attractions with Booking and Kiosk+ integration. “This will get guests to enjoy other FEC offerings like arcades or F&B while they wait for their slot, instead of queueing at activities,” said Michael Lopez, chief experience officer and NASA region general manager.

Embed’s Kiosk+ has also received upgrades. Operators will now be able to display promotions for its attractions full screen on the kiosk’s 27ins LCD touchscreen, while the UI has been updated, allowing operators to customise the API to re-theme its interface and match FEC branding. Elsewhere, Kiosk+ can now offer multiple game cards for purchase with different reload values in a single transaction, while Kiosk and Sales POS will now synchronise in real time via the cloud.

“The aim is to empower FECs to create new ways to connect with customers by creating the experiences they want,” said Andy Welsh, Embed’s chief technology officer. “The Embed Ecosystem is pioneering the smart cashless payments category.”
