Embed has unveiled its new family of interactive debit card readers, smartTouch.
Adding to the already successful Insert version, recently installed across all Dave and Buster’s locations throughout the US, comes the smartTouch Tap and Swipe models.
“The smartTouch generation is a ground up redevelopment, engineered with guests, operators and technical staff in mind,” said Embed’s Ted Parsons. “All readers support the latest RFID and NFC (near field communication) ‘tap’ technologies. The Swipe variant combines that with the traditional mag-stripe functionality, making backwards compatibility a breeze for operators looking to upgrade or introduce new ways for customers to pay.”
Video playback, advanced ticket management, dual speaker audio, a toughened touchscreen supporting service and installation modes via its smartTouch interface and the award-winning Color-Glo technology make smartTouch Embed’s most advanced product family ever.
The smartTouch Insert and Tap versions officially launch at next month’s IAAPA Attractions Expo, with the Swipe version set for release early in 2016.
