The second annual EAG Expo opened this morning at London's ExCel, to a signing between British trade associations BACTA and BALPPA.

The agreement, which will see BALPPA show its support for the EAG Expo moving forward, is a "combination of a long and happy negotiation between two trade associations," according to EAG chairman Martin Burlin.

Speaking at the show, Burlin told InterGame: "Together we will work on improvements for both sets of members. BACTA and BALPPA have a lot of common interests and this agreement will only strengthen these."

Martin Barratt of BALPPA added: "We are delighted to sign with EAG Expo, which is a great fit for our members and offers a real service."

The EAG exhibitors were all expecting a good turnout as the industry continues to show its support for this newcomer on the show calendar. There was a great deal of new product on show from all the main suppliers, some seen for the first time at IAAPA in November and some making their debut at EAG.

More show news will follow in Friday’s newsletter and a full show report will feature in the March issue of InterGame.
