As reported in national trade press RePlay, FEC operator Dave & Buster's first-quarter profits fell by 24 per cent, citing harsh weather conditions in the north-east, which slowed business and led to some temporary store closures.

The Dallas-based company, which was recently sold to a private equity firm, reported net income of $3.9m, down from $5.2m a year ago.

Revenue in the quarter ending May 2 increased 2.3 per cent to $141.6m - a $6.5m gain from sales at newer stores was offset by a 2.5 per cent decline in same store sales.
