Creative Works has installed its new open-air laser tag concept for Urban Air Adventure Park in Knoxville, Tennessee, US, as part of a continued relationship between the attractions provider and the popular trampoline park franchise.

Urban Air Knoxville

The concept introduces new benefits for the operator by opening up the traditional closed-box arena design. The themed attraction features half walls at the entrance of the arena, creating an open and engaging layout, which draws attention to the arena and allows other guests in the facility to watch the gameplay externally.

This design engages spectators and encourages play from those who may not have done so otherwise.

“It’s nice when there’s a game going on as customers can see the fun and therefore want to participate,” said Bryan Harrison, owner of Urban Air Knoxville. “There are definitely more people checking it out. It makes it easier to schedule games because it looks fun in there.”

The Urban Air Knoxville location opened in November 2019 and in addition to laser tag, the facility has a wide variety of attractions, including a trampoline area, wipeout, warrior course, pro zone trampolines, battle beams, ropes course, sky rider and a tubes course for smaller children.

Creative Works and Urban Air have worked together for several years, and over the last 12 months, the provider has built and installed four other laser tag arenas for the franchise.

In addition to laser tag, Urban Air also added VR with Hologate Arenas at six locations.

“It’s been a phenomenal partnership working with Urban Air - both the corporate office and the franchisees,” said Creative Works’ VP of sales Russ Van Natta. “The end results of our projects directly stem from the fact that we are both in-sync about creating a stellar guest experience and focusing on differentiation.”
