FEC chain, Chuck E. Cheese, has expanded its partnership with the American Society for Deaf Children with new American Sign Language entertainment content, employee training initiatives and fundraising events.

The operator has joined with the ASDC to launch its first “Sign-Along videos” featuring ASL, which will launch on the company’s YouTube channel and social media pages over the next month.
September will also see CEC hold in-store fundraisers in honour of National Deaf Awareness Month, with guests next month encouraged to donate by rounding up their purchases to the next dollar when paying.
New training videos will also launch later this year, which will focus on teaching basic deaf culture and a variety of greetings in ASL, as well as best practices for serving and interacting with guests who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Alejandra Brady, senior director of communications and DEI at CEC Entertainment, said: “At Chuck E. Cheese, we believe in creating fun and memorable experiences for every child and family. Our partnership with the American Society for Deaf Children reflects our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.
“We’re excited about these new initiatives and look forward to continuing our support for the deaf community and beyond.”
