A UK recreation centre is set to benefit from a £1.1m investment into leisure facilities that will bring tenpin bowling and VR experiences to the venue.

Brixton Recreation Centre will receive part of the money from Lambeth Council, with the investment forming part of a wider strategy that aims to boost the council’s income.
The council believe that the new attractions will bring more visitors to the venue, generating more income and securing the future of the borough’s leisure services, which were brought back under the control of the council in 2023.
£300,000 will be spent on installing the tenpin bowling lanes, while £60,000 will go towards building VR multi-sport rooms.
The venue already features a climbing wall, family play zone and other attractions.
