Rumours are once more suggesting that Britain's premier AWP manufacturing organisation, the Bell-Fruit Group, will be sold to Australian casino slots maker Aristocrat.
The group, which is under the same venture capital ownership as major operator Gamestec, consists of Bell-Fruit Manufacturing, Mazooma Games and QPS, and it is thought that in the last financial year made a profit of between £8m and £10m.
BFG’s main rivals - Barcrest and Games Media Group - are both similarly owned by non-British investors, IGT and Scientific Games, both from the US.
