Bay Tek Entertainment has made a move into the world of VR with the acquisition of MajorMega.

MajorMega

MajorMega is responsible for the manufacturing of some of the biggest VR amusement games in the business. In the 11 years since its inception, the company has become known for Hyperdeck, which adds environmental effects such as wind, heat and motion to the VR experience and SpongeBob SquarePants: Dynamic Duo, which introduced a smaller footprint, attendant-free game.

MajorMega has delivered custom experiences to a number of the world’s biggest attractions such as Hersheypark and Kennedy Space Center.

In the upcoming months, Bay Tek will transfer the manufacturing of SpongeBob SquarePants: Dynamic Duo and Hyperdeck to its headquarters in Pulaski, Wisconsin, US.

Holly Hampton, vice president of Bay Tek, welcomed MajorMega to its family, saying: “We are so excited to welcome this exceptional team to ours. I know they will seamlessly integrate into the Bay Tek family. What they have created is the best VR in the LBE space, hands down.”

Bay Tek will be showing both products at the upcoming DEAL show in Dubai, UAE and at Amusement Expo in Las Vegas, US.
