The Australasian gaming machine show, AGE, will remain in Sydney in 2014.

The show, which is for the casino industry in part, but mainly for the hundreds of ex-servicemen’s clubs, members’ clubs, sporting clubs, etc, has to move after its 2013 staging in Sydney because the Sydney Convention and Exhibition centre will then close for extensive renovations which will take three years.

The organisers canvassed a total of 155 2012 exhibitors and 700 attendees from the 2011 event, offering alternatives of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or ‘other’ locations as the show’s home for the three-year gap.

We understand that of the 65 exhibitors who have responded, 45 prefer Sydney, eight Melbourne and seven Brisbane. Of the 700 visitors canvassed, 183 responded and 93 prefer Sydney, 43 Melbourne and 26 Brisbane. The organisers are touring alternative Sydney locations this week to find the most suitable alternative.
