Mohamed Attia keeps Sala Entertainment moving ahead despite the pandemic, writes Robert Sax.

When Mohamed Attia became CEO of Sala Entertainment in 2020, he was already known as one of the most experienced amusement executives in the MENA region and perhaps the world. His stated goal was to make Sala Entertainment nothing less than “the number one entertainment provider of choice” in the region. Despite the challenge of Covid-19, Attia made big steps towards that goal in a year that tested the mind and mettle of even the industry’s best.

“We have opened at Sala 10 projects over one year [despite] a big pandemic in the amusement industry,” said Attia. These included a rapidly growing family of brands that includes Kidzania, Strike 10 Bowling and the Octo group of Octo City, Octo Karting, Octo Snowpark and Octo Lasertag.
